I’m a big fan of coffee and chocolate and mixed together is truly the best. These brownies are actually pretty easy to make, and perfect to pair with vanilla ice cream. I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter in multiple sizes to cute the brownies in a heart shape. Perfect for Valentine’s Day right?! Scroll down to get the recipe.
Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownies
Like I mentioned above if you like coffee and chocolate you’ll enjoy these brownies. If you don’t love coffee flavor you can omit the espresso powder or just reduce the amount you use. You can also adjust the amount and type of chocolate chips you use in this recipe depending on what you have on hand. Milk chocolate chips or chocolate chunks would work great in this recipe.

I bought a set of heart-shaped cookie cutters at Target to cut out these brownies. These cookie cutters were fun for Valentine’s Day, and it was really easy to cut out the brownies. I topped these with powdered sugar (because why not), but they would also be delicious with some vanilla ice cream. If you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day at home this would be the perfect dessert to enjoy with your significant other.
I packaged a few of the brownies for my parents and my sister for a Valentine’s Day treat. I bought these boxes from Wilton that are easy to package baked goods. Tie the box with a red or pink ribbon and you have a fun dessert for friends or family.
