I’m so excited to make Cory’s famous margaritas tonight with homemade guacamole and tacos. The key to making this margarita is good silver tequila and fresh lime juice. You just can’t go wrong we these quality ingredients to make a good margarita. We highly recommend Nellie and Joe’s Key Lime Juice (I also use this for key lime pie) for making a margarita. The fresh key lime juice tastes incredible for this cocktail.
Margarita Recipe
Both Cory and I love our glass rim salted when we make a margarita. Use a good coarse sea salt on a plate and rub your glass rim with a lime wedge. Dip the glass in the plate of sea salt and you’re good to go. I love the salty rim with the tart lime flavor of the margarita. This is obviously optional so you don’t have to salt the rim of your glass for this drink.
We typically make our own simple syrup for cocktails because it’s so easy to make. On a stovetop mix together equal parts sugar and water. On medium heat stir until the sugar has melted into the water. You can store this simple syrup in your refrigerator. If you don’t have time to make your own simple syrup you can find this at your local grocery store.
