Last week I made these roasted chickpeas and many of you asked for the recipe. To be honest I’m not surprised because these are soooo good. I make these chickpeas for a snack or as a salad topping. The best part is they are really easy to make and fun to customize with different spices. Get my recipe for roasted chickpeas below.
Recipe for Roasted Chickpeas
Like I mentioned above I really enjoy these roasted chickpeas for a snack or to top a salad. I use flaky sea salt as a topping, but you could use other spices. These chickpeas would also be good with garlic salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, or paprika. You can get creative with your spices here or just keep it easy. This is my favorite cous cous salad to use these chickpeas with.
Roasted Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 1 15oz can Garbanzo/Chickpeas rinsed and drained
- 1-2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Sea Salt I like to use Maldon Sea Salt Flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Use a paper towel to dry them the best you can. The drier they are, the more crispy they will be.
- Spread out the chickpeas on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with the extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.
- Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned.
