Monkey Bread Recipe
If you read my holiday magazine you might have seen this recipe for monkey bread already. There’s just something about the sugary, caramelized biscuits that make this recipe truly decadent. Paired with a cup of coffee or a mimosa you can’t go wrong with this monkey bread recipe.
If you have a larger bundt pan you can double this recipe for your family. Since it’s just Cory and I on Christmas morning we use smaller bundt pan for the two of us. Make sure you let the monkey bread set for a couple of minutes out of the oven before turning it over. Also, greasing the pan liberally is key to getting the monkey bread out of the pan. I use butter and a plastic bag on my hands to really get the butter in all the ridges of the bundt pan.
Monkey Bread
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Refrigerated Biscuit Cans (10.2 oz)
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 6 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 6-cup fluted bundt pan with butter (make sure to get in all the grooves). In large food storage bag, mix sugar and cinnamon to create cinnamon sugar.
- Separate the biscuits and cut each into quarters. Add these biscuit quarters to the cinnamon sugar bag, and shake to coat. Arrange biscuits in pan, and sprinkle a little bit of the remaining cinnamon sugar over biscuits.
- Add the brown sugar and butter to a small pan. On medium heat melt these ingredients together. When melted, pour on top of biscuits in the bundt pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and the biscuits are no longer doughy. Let cool for 5 minutes before turning over on a plate. Serve warm.
