Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
Since I was little I’ve truly loved these cookies. I have memories making these with my mom during the holiday season. My favorite part was rolling the dough into balls and then rolling the dough in the sugar. I thought it was so much fun! These cookies are a classic and great to make during the holidays with your family. The kids will love rolling the dough in balls or unwrapping the Hershey Kisses.
Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter softened
- 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- Granulated Sugar
- Hershey Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl cream together the butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- To the creamed butter and sugar add the vanilla extract, peanut butter and egg. Beat together until combined.
- Add the flour, baking soda and baking powder to the mixture and stir together just until combined.
- Pour a 1/4 cup of granulated sugar in a small bowl. Using a small/medium muffin scoop, scoop the dough into your hands and roll into a ball. Roll the dough in the sugar and place on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for around 9 minutes (or until slightly browned around the edges). While the cookies are baking unwrap the Hershey Kisses. When the cookies are done baking remove them from the oven and immediately press the Kisses into the center of the cookies.
- Remove the cookies from the baking sheet and place on a cooling rack to cool.
Let me know if you make these cookies with your family this Christmas! I would love to know what your favorite cookies are during this time of year. In case you missed it I also share the recipe for reindeer noses, which are also a favorite.
