Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tbsp Espresso Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 pan and set aside.
  • In a large bowl melt your butter in the microwave. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla to the melted butter and stir to combine.
  • Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking powder and salt. Using a hand mixer, beat these ingredients in the melted butter/sugar mixture.
  • Add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.
  • Pour the batter in the prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle is clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool. Once cooled you can use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the brownies or cut them into squares. Top with powdered sugar (optional) or serve with vanilla ice cream.
