Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare your loaf pan by greasing the bottom and sides of the pan.
In a large bowl beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat together until fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time to the butter and sugar mixture.
Add the lemon zest to the butter mixture and beat to combine.
Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl including the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds. Set aside.
Combine the milk and lemon juice together in a mixing glass. Set aside.
Add a little of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix together. Alternate with the milk/lemon juice and the dry ingredients until everything is mixed together.
Fold in the blueberries to the batter.
Add the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
For the glaze mix together the powdered sugar, orange juice and vanilla extract. Add to the top of the bread while the bread is still slightly warm.
