Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 10 oz bag Mini Marshmallows
  • 5 cups Crispy Rice Cereal

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13 pan with butter. If you want thicker bars (which I prefer) you can make this in a smaller pan. I used a 8x10.5 pan for these bars. Make sure to grease the sides of the pan as well to make sure the bars don't stick. Set the pan aside.
  • In a large pot melt the butter. Continue to allow the butter to melt on medium/high heat until you see the butter start to foam and you notice brown bits start to form in the butter. This happens pretty quickly, so don't step away from the stove. Once you have your brown butter, remove the pan from the heat and add the marshmallows.
  • Stir the marshmallows until they have melted and add 1/4 teaspoon of the sea salt.
  • Mix in the crispy rice cereal until everything is mixed together.
  • Press the mixture into your prepared pan. I find a silicone spatula helps to spread the mixture in the pan. Sprinkle the top of the bars with the remaining sea salt.
  • Let the bars cool before serving.
