Apple Crisp

This apple crisp is honestly my all time favorite during the fall season. You can mix and match your choice of Michigan apples depending on your favorites. We love to use a mix of Honeycrisp and Granny Smith apples for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 5-6 Medium Sized Apples I typically use Honeycrisp and Granny Smith apples for different textures and flavors.
  • 1/2 cup Soft Butter
  • 3/4 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Quick-Cooking Oats
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut your apples into slices (removing the skin) and place in pan. I typically use an 8×8 or a little larger for this recipe.
  • Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on the apples in your pan. In a medium sized bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. I typically use my hands to combine these ingredients.
  • Sprinkle the oatmeal mixture over the apples and bake for about 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
