I’m finally sharing my favorite harvest snack mix recipe with you. My family LOVES this snack mix during the fall months. This sweet and salty snack mix is really easy to make, and you can customize it with your favorite ingredients. If you’re looking for the perfect Halloween snack this is it. Harvest Snack Mix
You guys are going to love this fall snack mix. I like to make this mix with a variety of cereal and snack ingredients. You can obviously customize this with your favorite cereals or sweet/savory snacks. The candy pieces are also optional and you can include whatever candy you like. If you’re planning to have a group over for Halloween everyone will love this snack.
Harvest Snack Mix
Ingredients
Snack Mix
- 2 cups Rice squares cereal
- 2 cups Corn squares cereal
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese squares
- 2 cups Pretzels
- 1 cup Peanuts
- 1 cup Candy corn
- 1 cup Peanut butter chocolate candy
Topping
- 1/2 cup Brown butter
- 1/2 cup Light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl add the rice squares cereal, corn squares cereal, cheddar cheese crackers, pretzels, and peanuts. Mix together.
- In a small pan heat 1/2 cup of butter on medium heat. Cook until you have little flecks of brown in the butter to make brown butter. Add the light brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, and sea salt. Stir together.
- Add the topping to the the large mixing bowl of snack ingredients. Stir to combine.
- Add the snack mix to the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes stirring the snack mix every 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and stir to break up some of the big pieces. Allow to cool
- Once cooled add the candy corn and peanut butter chocolate candy.
This mix is also great for gifting to friends and family. You can gift the mix in a fun Halloween bag or tray (see example below). I hope you enjoy this fall snack!
