No joke we’ve already made this apple crisp three times this fall because it’s just that good. With Thanksgiving right around the corner I thought I would share this recipe to share with your family. Apple pie is always a classic for Thanksgiving, but honestly the crumbly topping on this apple crisp is what I actually love more than a pie. The best part about this recipe is you don’t need to roll out pie crust or worry about a soggy bottom pie (hello The Great British Baking Show). Trust me you’ll love this apple crisp recipe!

Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 5-6 Medium Sized Apples I typically use Honeycrisp and Granny Smith apples for different textures and flavors.
- 1/2 cup Soft Butter
- 3/4 cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup Flour
- 1/2 cup Quick-Cooking Oats
- 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp Nutmeg
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut your apples into slices (removing the skin) and place in pan. I typically use an 8×8 or a little larger for this recipe.
- Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on the apples in your pan. In a medium sized bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. I typically use my hands to combine these ingredients.
- Sprinkle the oatmeal mixture over the apples and bake for about 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
